Collection and use of personal information
The Central Bank of Ireland (“the Bank”) only collects on this website the personal data that you volunteer as part of the Registration for Information process. The Central Bank may also receive information from you if you should e-mail the Bank or by using the online feedback form. The Bank will be the controller of any personal data that you disclose to it in this way. The Bank will process this personal data for the purpose of managing the distribution of information to those who complete the Registration for Information process.

We take every precaution to protect the confidentiality of your personal information in accordance with Data Protection legislation. Any information you provide to us in the course of your business with us is not shared with third parties unless required by law.

Glossary of technical terms used:
Web browser
The piece of software you use to read web pages. Examples are Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Safari and Opera.

The identifying details for your computer (or your Internet company’s computer), expressed in "internet protocol" code (for example 192.168.72.34). Every computer connected to the web has a unique IP address, although the address may not be the same every time a connection is made.
